Cut For Time Michael Keaton SNL Sketches Are The BEST SNL Sketches
Michael Keaton had some of the most memorable moments of the 40th season of SNL, so there is no wonder why some really funny sketches needed to be cut. Thank god for the internet.

Jimmy Fallon Has The Best Post-SNL40 Party Stories Ever
Well worth the 9 minutes. This story sounds like every dream i’ve ever had…..ok, maybe not every dream.

The Women of SNL Are Back Home For Thanksgiving In My Favorite Sketch From Last Week, ‘Back Home Ballers’
Last year, the women of SNL got together for ‘Twin Bed’, a sketch spoofing adults who go back home to their parent’s house for the holidays. Jimmy Fallon was the host of that episode, so this year the women of SNL added a little twist to their ‘home for the holidays’ video, adding host Cameron Diaz and new cast member Leslie Jones in place of Nasim Pedrad and Noel Wells. Jones’s part was the highlight of the sketch (as is the case in most of the sketches she’s in) mostly because parents do seem to have an almost impossible of amount of bowls. The overall episode was very funny, including a great ‘Black Annie’ sketch, another strong Weekend Update and a bizarre but hysterical sketch featuring Kenan as Dr. Dave who gets his penis ripped off by a monkey. Good luck resisting the urge to find a video of that sketch online. SNL is a repeat this Saturday, but follows that up with back to back to back new episodes, starting with James Franco December 6th.

Coming off their best episode of the season, SNL just announced their hosts and musical guests for the month of December. The main thing that jumps out at you concerning Franco, Freeman and Amy Adams is their versatility. The writers and cast members should have a grand old time coming up with sketches and characters for these three hosts. Out of the three, I’m most excited for Martin Freeman, especially after his amazing turn as Lester Nygaard on FX’s Fargo adaptation. I’m expecting a Hobbit sketch during his episode, or maybe even a faux Hobbit trailer now that SNL has proved they can create movie quality fake trailers. Cameron Diaz hosts this Saturday, and then it’s on to December!

‘Puppet Class’ Made a Wonderful Reapperance During Bill Hader’s Hosting Stint on SNL
SNL had only done one ‘Puppet Class’ sketch before duplicating it Saturday, but you can’t deny that’s hilarious. Hader’s Anthony Coleman character is perfect, as are his war recollections through the eyes of Siamese puppet. The audience loves the sketch. I love the sketch. Howard Stern loves the sketch. It combines everything that we miss about Hader: his ability to transform into a character and his unique ability to make every line he’s given funny. I didn’t expect another ‘Puppet Class’ sketch, but I’m glad they fit it in. Also, if you haven’t seen this episode, check it out. It’s the best one they’ve done in a number of years.

Bill Hader is Back on SNL Tonight!
There’s no use trying to predict what sketches/characters are going to make a comeback tonight. Just sit back and enjoy the show. Although I wouldn’t hate varsity jacket wearing Hader coming back and bullying his old cast members.

Sarah Silverman’s SNL Promos Will Make You Wish It Was Saturday Night For Various Reasons
Chris Pratt did a charmingly stellar job as host of the season premiere, and the cast looked a lot more comfortable than they did last year. Last week wasn’t a perfect episode, but I’m not sure that’s what SNL is going for. I like how Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney’s odd sketch got on the air, because if there’s thing the current cast has going for it, it’s comic diversity. Hopefully they got their NFL satire out of their system, as there are so many more news stories they can run with. Having former cast member and first time host Sarah Silverman helming the show this week can only help. Let the weirdness begin!
