While the actors may be familiar, the story itself may not be. Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg play author David Foster Wallace and Rolling Stone columnist David Lipsky in a fictionalized version of an actual interview Lipsky conducted with Wallace during a book tour in the lat 1990’s. I enjoy Segel in just about everything, but Eisenberg is at his best when he’s playing a nervous, stammering character, which seems like his role in this film. ‘The End of the Tour’ looks like a modern day ‘Almost Famous’ with less characters, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued by the prospect of each of these performances. ‘The End of the Tour’ comes out July 31, 2015.
