Nike Had Their Kevin Durant Spot Ready To Go After The Warriors Won The NBA Title
As usual, Nike is ready. Here's their KD spot https://t.co/BNsAftjJgm

I’ve never been a huge fan of Kevin Durant. He’s one of the top basketball players on planet Earth, sure, but that doesn’t mean you have to like and/or root for the guy. He made a tough decision last year by leaving OKC to join the Warriors, the same Warriors team that beat OKC in the Western Conference Finals last year. It wasn’t a well accepted move by sports fans, but Durant never seemed to care. He wanted a championship, and he felt like he put enough time in Seattle/OKC and wanted to fast track that ring ceremony.
11 months later, he’s now an NBA champion and a Finals MVP. Nike had their KD commercial ready to go as soon as the game was over, and it’s a video filled with Durant’s critics over the years being silenced by his championship victory. This video reminds me of all the doubters that Dirk Nowitzki had in the lead up to his championship win (which was also against Lebron James). The big difference between Dirk and KD is that Dirk stayed put in Dallas and won his way, while KD had to go to the best team in the West to get it done. Whether you love him or you hate him, and whether you love or hated his decision to join Golden State, you will always have to refer to Kevin Durant as a champion.

P.S. For a different perspective on KD joining the Warriors, here’s comedian Neal Brennan:
I can’t believe Kevin Durant went to a team he wanted to play for instead of staying with the people who won him in a lottery.
