Super Troopers put the comedy troupe Broken Lizard on the map in 2001. With a budget barely over $1 million, the story of a bunch of Vermont state troopers became a cult classic. It’s insanely quotable and holds up almost 17 years later. That’s why today’s news is so amazing. Behold, the first trailer for Super Troopers 2.

The dysfunctional gang of state troopers are back and it’s clear not much has changed. Firstly, all the actors look the same, and the back and forth dialogue that made the first movie such a hit is still there too. Instead of taking on a rival police force, this time they’re forced to convert to Mounties when it turns out their jurisdiction is actually in Canada. That’s more of a plot than I was expecting, but the sequel looks like it will definitely bring the laughs. Not surprisingly Super Troopers 2 will be released April 20th, 2018.
