Trailer Alert – Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
As far as movie title’s go, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is as on the nose as it gets. The movie is literally about a mother with a missing daughter who uses three billboards outside of Ebbing, Missouri to get the police to pay attention to her pleas for help. It’s got a dynamite cast, including Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell & Peter Dinklage. It’s also safe to say nobody plays a better angry character than Frances McDormand, and that’s on full display here. If you don’t believe me, watch the trailer all the way through until the scene where she’s driving by the field reporter trying to film her piece for the news. The movie is slated for release on November 10th, and has already racked up a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Trailer Alert – Triple 9
A gang of criminals and corrupt cops plan the murder of a police officer in order to pull off their biggest heist yet across town. – IMDB
Triple 9 has a pretty simple plot, and then you take a look at the cast and it should blow your goddamn socks off. Kate Winslet, Gal Gadot, Aaron Paul, Woody Harrelson, Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Norman Reedus, Anthony Mackie & Michael Kenneth Williams. This movie could be 100 hours long and you still wouldn’t have enough screen time for all that talent. This is just one of a few trailers out there for this movie, and each trailer shows the movie through the eyes of a different set of characters. They hype train is about to take off for this movie, and it’s only a little over a month away from hitting theaters. As simple as the plot sounds, you know there’s going to be some twists and turns throughout the movie, and with this cast, I can’t wait.

‘True Detective’ Looks Like the Next Smash Hit From HBO
It looks like HBO really does have a green thumb for original series. Starring Woody Harrelson and Matt “Dreamboat” McConaughey, True Detective follows two detectives as they hunt for a serial killer over a 16-year span. The first season will consist of 8 episodes, and if all goes well season 2 is said be shot “American Horror Story style”. Meaning it would have a whole new plot and characters. I can only imagine what HBO has in the pipeline for this show, and I can only dream of who else they could cast in the following seasons! That’s what I call a BOOM BABY. Look for it January 2014.

PS- HBO, if you are reading this, Ryan and I would like to put our hats in the ring for the parts of the next two detectives. We are a little rough around the edges, but we will allow being paid with a wrestling ring or beer (or both).
