Trailer Alert – “Fear the Walking Dead”
Calling all Walking Dead fans!
Ok, this doesn’t give you much, but at least it’s better than a radio broadcasters voice. I have to admit this looks and feels a lot different from “The Walking Dead”. What do you think?

Trailer Alert – The Martian
Before you watch this trailer, can we talk about this epic cast? Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Peña, Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Donald Glover. Ridley Scott had me at Jessi…
I may not be the best judge of movies or movie trailers because I tend to think everything is “awesome”. Example: The first BluRay movie I owned was Ghost Rider (big Nick cage fan). I get it, I’m an easy critic. So take my thoughts on “The Martain” with a grain of pixie dust: I think this looks INCREDIBLE. I already gushed abut the cast now let me gush about the visuals. Ridley Scott is the king of Sci-Fi and is looking to keep his throne with this beauty. November cannot come fast enough, I really want some turkey.

Trailer Alert: Amy
The team behind ‘Senna’ (which was awesome) have teamed back up to put together ‘Amy’, another one word documentary, this time about shooting star Amy Winehouse. When a celebrity dies the way Amy died, it’s easy to only remember him/her for that, instead of what she did while she was alive. Amy Winehouse wasn’t going to win a Nobel Peace Prize, but she was an extremely talented musician with a unique sound. She mixed genres and during her brief time in the spotlight made enough of a splash for people to still remember her almost four years after her death. I’m a sucker for documentaries that focus on people who took the road less traveled, and few people took a crazier path in life than Amy Winehouse. ‘Amy’ debuts in theaters on July 3rd.

Trailer Alert – True Detective Season 2
HBO teased us with a teaser a month ago for the new season of True Detective, but now we get a full trailer with dialogue and internal conflicts and fancy tracking shots. I’m excited for this season because I’m glad they decided to take up a different setting and storyline. It’s still cops going after bad guys, but the first season of True Detective was one of the most depressing things I’ve ever watched. It was great, but I don’t know if my psyche could handle another season of that. Season 2 is set in LA and the possibilities are endless for filming there. The cast is pretty dynamite too, and I have a feeling Taylor Kitsch is going to be the show stealer by the time the season’s over. June 21st can’t come soon enough.

Trailer Alert – Orange Is The New Black Season 3 Is Almost Here!
In a little over a month, season 3 of Orange is the New Black will be on Netflix and all will be right with the world again. The greatest trick Netflix ever pulled was getting people addicted to binge watching TV shows, because now that they’ve created their own shows, there’s a buzz surrounding new seasons that is unmatched on basic or premium cable. As much as I love shows like ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Game of Thrones’, they’re a multi month commitment. You can go weeks (or months) between really great episodes, and sometimes waiting that long for a pay off gives you just enough cynicism to not appreciate it when it happens. But in the cases of shows like ‘House of Cards’, ‘Bloodlines’ and ‘Orange is the New Black’, if you’re insane enough, you can bang out a whole season in a weekend. OITNB is my favorite Netflix original because it blends comedy and drama so well. A show about a woman who lost it all and ended up in prison shouldn’t be funny, but the cast and writing is so great it’s impossible not to laugh at it sometimes. Season 3 premiers June 12th.

2014’s Video Game Masterpiece, “The Last of Us”, Is Now A 7 Part YouTube Series Thanks to Grant Voegtle
“The Last of Us” has one a hell of a following, as you can probably tell. This is one of the most beautiful fan made trailers/video game walkthroughs I have ever seen. College student Grant Voegtle really outdid himself with this. Check out the trailer to his 7 part mini series below.
For a second I forgot I was watching a video game mashed up into a trailer. It really felt like I was watching a trailer to the next hit drama being created by AMC. This is amazing work and I fully intend on watching the whole series.
