While this is only speculation, Quentin Tarantino focusing his lens on Charles Manson & the Manson family is something I never knew I needed until now. As the above video mentions, this would be the first film of Tarantino’s to be based on real life events, but if he’s telling the story of Charles Manson, there will be no shortage of insane details to work through. At this point we’ll have to wait to hear from the demented one himself before we get too excited.
Quentin Tarantino’s 8th feature film has it’s first trailer, and it’s as glorious as you’d expect. It’s got a monster cast, and few people can realistically bring you back you centuries like Tarantino can with his set designs. Plus, this movie was shot with 70mm film, making it the widest released movie format in over 20 years. Similar to Django, The Hateful Eight will be released on Christmas Day, so gather the family and get ready for everyone to be killed old west style. Also, Kurt Russell’s character’s nickname is ‘The Hangman’ because of course it is. I hope there’s an extended scene with him and Samuel L. Jackson playing the game.
