Tech Tuesday – Google Glass as a Tour Guide
The real potential of Google Glass involves making it possible to receive contextually relevant information on the go, without having to pull a phone out of a pocket or do much else to gather it. A new Kickstarter project from South African tourism software startup Tourism Radio makes perfect sense in that context, as it aims to liberate pocket guides from the pocket entirely with the help of Glass. -TechCrunch
Tourism Radio, a startup from South Africa, is already making splashes in Google Glass applications before Glass is even available worldwide. Their plan is to make Google Glass a virtual tour guide. The idea is for Glass to pull up relevant information as you travel through, in this case, Cape Town, South Africa. This idea brings exploring the world to a whole new level. Gone are the days of pocket maps and hard to understand tour guides. You want to get somewhere? Tell Glass. What building is that in front of you? Ask Glass. Hungry? Eat Glass…no, don’t eat Glass, please. Anyway, you get my point, no need for anything to get in the way of you and your experience of a new place. Not to mention Glass is now your camera to take stills as well as videos (with geo tagging), that way when you get home you can show family and friends what you did and where you did it.
I have been reading a lot about Google Glass over the past year and I have recently come to one conclusion. Google, you need to make an action version of Glass. I’m talking waterproof, shockproof, the whole shebang . That would be awesome.

Movie Trailer Watch! – Bad Grandpa

Android 4.3 – What Exactly Do You Get?

Pro Bowl Fantasy Draft?! My Dreams Have Come True!
The once boring and unwatched Pro Bowl is getting an upgrade! Along with eliminating kickoffs and shortening quarter times, the Pro Bowl is going to add a fantasy style draft to the all-star game. This is the Pro Bowl that I have been waiting for! Maybe Doug Martin will be lining up behind Tom Brady this year? Who knows, a man can dream!

Among Google’s announcements yesterday was the new Nexus 7, Google’s 7inch tablet. The original Nexus 7 broke ground in both price and performance and this year’s model is no different. Google has released 3 different models of the Nexus 7:
• 16gb wifi edition ($229)
• 32gb wifi edition ($269)
• 32gb LTE edition ($349)

Along with the performance upgrades, they also added a rear facing camera, a higher resolution display, and made the whole form factor smaller and more compact.
If you ask me, this is still the best and cheapest 7inch tablet you can get. You could buy one nexus 7 and a Chromecast for every TV in your house, and still pay less than what an iPad costs.

Anthony Weiner, Cornering The Market In Awesome Aliases
It was bound to happen sooner or later: An anonymous woman has claimed to the Arizona-based gossip and nudies site The Dirty that she carried on an explicit online affair with mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner — after he was busted and forced to resign from Congress for the exact same thing. “She was lured by Anthony Weiner post scandal via Facebook,” wrote the site’s editor Nik Ritchie yesterday. “They had a relationship for 6 months and she believed they were in love … The relationship consisted of Anthony Weiner and Anonymous sending sexually explicit pictures of each other and having sexual conversations via phone. The best part was Anthony used an alias this time thinking this would protect him. Anthony Weiner used the name ‘Carlos Danger’ when he would email pictures of his penis via Yahoo.” -NYMag.com
Anthony Weiner is at it again, but hold on one HOT SECOND. Carlos Danger? Really. That’s the name you’re going with? All this time I thought Anthony Weiner was just a dick pic machine, but now I know for sure……that he is also a genius! What an Alias! I wish I had gotten to it sooner. Back in the day, when you tried to impress all your friends with clever AIM names, this one would have killed it! All the girlies would have been crawling all over my AIM profile.
Ok, so Weiner not only gets right back on the sexting express (NSFW) but his defense is totally weak. “I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have.” That’s all you got, Weiner? I’ll remember that next time I go on a dick pic killing spree, or any other other crime wave. “I told you, officer, that I might rob another liquor store, and today I have. That”s all on you.” Not exactly somehting that will stand up in court. At least not in Rhode Island….cough cough….i’m looking at you Florida.
