Trailer Alert: The Mars Generation

Warning: This video may inspire you to leave Earth behind.

This video has all the elements to inspire me to want to call the red planet home. It’s got Bill Nye, Neil Tyson, The mohawk Nasa dude, our lord and savior Elon Musk and a slew of other awesome imagery that pumps me up and gives me a bit of a semi…if we’re being honest. My usual day-to-day on the internet is, for the most part, is full of misery. Political arguments, animals going extinct, natural disasters and general pessimism that I can’t stand anymore. But, something like this emerges and reminds me that there are still innovators among us; watching Space-X land the first reused rocket booster on a DRONE SHIP has assured me of that. I am excited to be a human for the first time in a little while.

The Mars Generation hits Netflix on May 5.

Neil deGrasse Tyson Becomes a Pig for Disney’s “Gravity Falls”

Gravity Falls has a pretty stellar cast that includes John DiMaggio (Bender on Futurama and Jake on Adventure Time), former South Park writer and all-around funny girl Kirsten Schaal, SNL alum Will Forte, and Jason Ritter (who you may also have caught on an episode of Drunk History).

Tyson joins an amazing list of guest stars who have graced Gravity Falls. Mark Hammill, John Oliver, Nick Offerman, Larry King, and even Firefly’s Nathan Fillion have previously taken part in the hilarity. Geek.com

I’m not sure where I have been all this time while a show like “Gravity Falls” sneaks right under my nose. Sounds and looks like a cartoon I could sink my teeth into. Something for the kids, something for the adults, and something for the geeks in all of us. Not to mention an all-star cast of guest voice actors! Kirsten Schaal and Will Forte is all I needed to hear.
