Music Monday 12/4/17
I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 over the weekend (again) and one of my favorite parts includes this song. When Yondu and Rocket are freed by Baby Groot and start taking people out with Yondu’s arrow, this song is playing in the background. It’s a great montage and a really fun part of a really great movie. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch it immediately and then listen to the whole soundtrack on repeat. Have a great day on purpose.
Music Monday – The RIghteous Brothers
I went out to the bar over the long weekend and this song came on the jukebox. If you’ve never heard this song or seen Top Gun, please listen to this song and then watch this scene and preferably the whole movie right away. You’re welcome. Have a great day on purpose everybody.
Francis And The Lights – May I Have This Dance featuring Chance The Rapper
This week’s music Monday pick is a combination of a song I’m obsessed with and Chance The Rapper ruling the world. I’ve been listening to May I Have This Dance like it’s going out of style, and Chance The Rapper had his SNL hosting debut Saturday night (which he killed). That’s a perfect combo for music Monday. Have a great day on purpose everybody.
Lionel Richie – Hello
This week’s Music Monday was easy because Lionel Richie came to me in a dream and wrote this blog for me.
If you know a better cure for the Mondays, write it down on a piece of paper, stick it in an envelope, get a stamp, seal it and shove it up your butt! Shout out Stanley. But really, I implore you to listen to 1984 classic, Hello and not feel overwhelmed with emotion. Does it get a little creepy? Sure it does. Does the music video make him look like a stalker? You bet. But when you have a head of hair and a mustache like Lionel does, none of that matters. Enjoy your Monday, y’all.
Welcome to Music Monday
If you came here looking for a nice upbeat song to get your week started off with a bang, you have come to the wrong place. I’ve been listing to CrazySexyCool like a mad man, and I don’t think any explanation of that is necessary. Have a great day on purpose everybody.
With Halloween creeping up tomorrow, I thought it’d be appropriate to feature one of, if not THE best song that makes you think of Halloween. To think this music video was created in 1983 still blows my mind. Have a great day on purpose.
I’ve been on a BIG Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats kick lately, and if this song can’t get you jazzed up for Monday morning, nothing will. Have a great day on purpose everybody.
