Is Space Jam the Most Universally Loved Movie Of All Time?

I watched Space Jam the other day for the time in a LONG time. Space Jam is the kind of move you can pull out in any situation and it satisfies the crowd. Old people. Young people. Men. Women. If you don’t like Space Jam there’s a solid chance you’re an asshole. Twitter is full of assholes, so I figured I’d be able to find someone who hates Space Jam.

A 600 Person Brawl On Christmas As the State of Florida Refuses to Go Quietly Into the Night

Source – Five teenagers were arrested when a 600-person brawl broke out in a Florida movie theater’s parking lot on Christmas night.

Described by police as a “melee,” the fight occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday outside the Hollywood River City 14 movie theater in Jacksonville when a group tried to storm the theater’s doors without purchasing tickets, police said. Several had rushed an off-duty police officer working as a security guard.

The officer “administered pepper spray to disperse the group, locked the doors and called for backup, following protocol,” said Lauri-Ellen Smith, a spokeswoman for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Soon after the pepper spray was used, “upward of 600 people moving throughout a parking lot about the size of a football field began fighting, disrupting and jumping on cars,” she said.

Sixty-two police officers were called to the scene to break up the brawl, “sequestering them and separating them,” Smith said.

Only minor injuries and damage to property were reported. No gunshots were fired, according to Smith.

All five of the people arrested on the scene were charged with crimes related to fighting. Three of those arrested, including one minor, were charged with felonies. Two other juveniles, who have not been named by police, were charged with misdemeanors.

Tevyn Alonza Davis, 19, was charged with resisting arrest and breach of the peace. Jaquade Marquis Miller, 18, was charged with fighting and resisting arrest. Khalil Ahmad Bradley, 17, the only minor charged with a felony, was arrested for resisting arrest, refusal to disperse and breach of the peace.

Davis and Bradley each “took a fighting stance” when confronted by police and told to leave the area, according to arrest reports. Miller, too, “took an aggressive stance” when told by police to leave the parking lot.

According to the movie theater’s website, the cinema was showing “Tyler Perry’s A Medea Christmas,” “47 Ronin,” “Grudge Match,” “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” along with several other movies.

Oh Florida. There are just so many aspects to this story that I love. Teenagers storming movie theater doors so they wouldn’t have to pay for a ticket. Kids fighting cops. 600 people who have nothing better to do on Christmas night than fight in a movie theater parking lot. My question is what were the people storming the movie theater doors going to do if they actually got past security? Did they think they would be able to just watch Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas? Did they think security was just going to tip their hat and let them walk out of there? Poor planning on their part. Everyone knows you have to utilize the 3 for 1 special. You suck it up and pay for one movie, then hop from theater to theater to watch the other two. Not in Florida. In Florida you storm the movie theater and start a massive brawl. I had a feeling we’d hear from the craziest state in the world before the new year, and they did not disappoint. Beethoven had symphony 9. Florida now has their Christmas brawl.

I’ll Give You One Guess Why I Want To See ‘The Other Woman’

It rhymes with mate gluptons loobs. Ok it’s Kate Upton’s boobs. If Kate Upton is in a bikini I’m there. I stuck through 90 minutes of The Three Stooges just for the pool scene where she’s the lifeguard. When beauty presents itself, you give it your full attention.

P.S. How about Jamie Lannister being able to regenerate his hand? Weird, wild stuff.

BONER ALERT: THE EXPENDABLES 3 TEASER TRAILER IS HERE

I NEVER THOUGHT 58 SECONDS OF WHISTLING COULD GET ME SO AMPED UP.

P.S. 100% chance Ronda Rousey steals the show in this film. All she knows is ass kicking and spitting in people’s mouths.

The 22 Jump Street Red Band Trailer is Here

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t pumped for this movie. I never gave the original one a chance until I had nothing else to do on a random night and watched it on HBO. I’ve now watched 21 Jump Street 15 times! Not really, but it was hysterical, and I expect 22 Jump Street to be just as good. Fingers crossed for another miracle Johnny Depp cameo.

Nicolas Cage Can Not Be Stopped From Making Horrible Movies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UctHBZuzXGQ#t=86

You know when Funny or Die or Jimmy Kimmel make spoof trailers? That’s what the trailer for Tokarev looks like, except it’s a real movie. The daughter of a reformed bad guy is killed due to the sins of her father. He wants vengeance, but he swore years ago he was finished with his life of crime. Does he seek revenge and risk exposing his secrets, or does he let the bad men from his past get away? If you showed me this trailer blindfolded and asked me who the leading man was I’d guess Nicolas Cage in a millisecond. He just can’t help himself. He’s the anti DiCaprio. Leo hasn’t made a bad movie in forever. Every script he attaches himself to turns into gold. Cage, on the other hand, just continues to make horrible movies. Honest question: if he never starred in Con Air or the National Treasure movies, would he be the worst actor in human history? My vote is yes. I can’t wait for Matt to see this movie and love it.

American Hustle Set to Close Dubai Film Festival

According to the Hollywood Reporter, David O. Russell’s newest feature film, American Hustle, will headline and close out the Dubai Film Festival, which runs from December 6th-14th.

DIFF artistic director Masoud Amralla Al Ali said: “We are thrilled to bring David O. Russell’s follow-up to his Oscar-winning films The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook to DIFF audiences this year. With one of the most exciting filmmakers working today at the helm, an outstanding cast and compelling story, this is a film that is set to blow audiences away and end the 10th DIFF on a high note.”

Hustle has had serious Oscar buzz surrounding it for quite some time, and with good reason. O. Russell stockpiled an incredible cast, and not only are they talented, but most of the cast have worked with the director before. Amy Adams and Christian Bale starred in The Fighter, while Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were the two leads in Silver Linings Playbook. Add in the supporting actors (Renner, Louis C.K. and De Niro) and it’s easy to see why critics and fans are eager for the premiere. If the film is anything like O. Russell’s last two films, the honor of closing the Dubai Film Festival may be the first in a long line of deserving awards.

If China wants to turn Thor 2 into a brotherly romance let them do it. Brother on brother superhero action is what sells in 2013. Natalie Portman post baby does not do it for the Chinese audience. Give the people what they want!
