The Doctah Is Playing The World’s Smallest Violin For Johnny Depp’s Financial Woes #Disneyland

Johnny Depp’s ex-managers, in a lawsuit, allege that the actor’s extravagant spending led to his losing millions of dollars. Depp disagrees.

“Why didn’t they drop me as a client if I was so out of control?” Depp told the Wall Street Journal. “I’ve worked very, very hard for a lot of years and trusted a lot of people, some who’ve clearly let me down.”

Depp sued The Management Group in January, claiming that after he fired them, his new business manager discovered misconduct in the form of TMG collecting fees he never agreed to, failing to file Depp’s taxes on time and loaning out his money without authorization. Depp believes TMG led him to be more than $40 million in debt.

In a countersuit, his ex-managers Joel and Robert Mandel said their company did what they could with Depp’s finances, but it was the actor’s expensive lifestyle that was his downfall. – Yahoo

Johnny Depp talking to his financial managers

Pirates.  Blow.  Gilbert Grape.  All epic.

Apparently, for Johnny, it hasn’t been enough.  Depp has fired his management company, and after investigations, has found that this management company is the reason he’s $40 million in debt.  He has also set a lawsuit against them.

Depp’s ex-group, the shadily named The Management Group (shady right?) has blamed Depp’s expensive lifestyle for his downfall. Depp spent 2 million per month which he could not afford. Depp has bought yachts, and luxury wine, and has 14 residences.

So let’s just stop right here.  This is a story of pure greed and mismanagement.  Johnny, I love you – idolized you in Blow.  But Johnny, how do you mismanage 40 million?  Better yet, how do you let someone else mismanage your money and pay them for it?

And on top of that, how do you trust a company called The Management Group?  I’d rather trust Neuralink and they are fucking with brains.

14 residences? Johnny, liquidation always works.

And how do you only make 40 million from all those Blockbusters?  Johnny, if you need a new negotiator, friend, financial manager, Buddha, and/or a lawyer, I’m here for you.  I won’t use big words, BUT I guarantee I won’t lose $40 million of your money.

Pure stupidity people.  Be smart with your $30,000 annual salary – even celebs are broke.

David Price Is Signing With The Red Sox, & God Forbid Anybody Has An Opinion About It

MONEY David Price has reached an agreement on a seven-year, $217 million deal with the Boston Red Sox, sources confirmed to ESPN.

The Boston Globe first reported the agreement, citing a source.

Price, 30, was 18-5 with an AL-leading 2.45 ERA last season with the Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays. He was second in the AL in pitching WAR at 6.0 in 2015.

The five-time All-Star has an opt-out after three years with no deferred money. The yearly payout for Price is $30 million, $30 million, $30 million, $31 million, $32 million, $32 million and $32 million.

Got Paid

One of the worst things about being a Boston sports fan is having to listen to other sports fans (fellow Boston fans included) any time something big happens. The fact is this: since 2001, the four major Boston sports teams have NINE championships. That’s insane, especially if you’re a Patriots and Red Sox fan, who’ve won four and three championships, respectively. There’s no more Evil Empire, there’s no more Lovable Losers, there’s just the city of Boston currently enjoying the greatest run of championships I can ever remember. With all that winning brings a lot of horrible things, including bandwagon fans and the unconditional hate from opposing fans. Out of those four major sports teams, I’m only a Red Sox fan, so that’s where this argument is going to stay. Last offseason, the Red Sox signed Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez, missed out on signing any semblance of an ace, and spent almost the entire season in last place. Hindsight being 20/20, those were some bad moves. When those moves were made, social media was cluttered with people just waiting to hate on whatever opinion a person had. If you were a Red Sox fan and DARED to support your team, you were ridiculed. If you were a Red Sox fan who opposed the moves, you were called out for not being a ‘real’ fan. If you were an opposing fan who liked or disliked the moves, your best bet was to stay off social media for a long time. Cut to December 2015, and the Red Sox signing David Price, and it’s last year all over again. Now if the Red Sox signed David Price for say, $150 million, it would probably be universally regarded as a great move. But since the number is an astronomical $217 million, it’s invited everyone out of their holes to give their opinion on it. No player is worth that kind of money, but at the same time, the Red Sox took an approach last season and felt that they didn’t need an ‘ace’ to be successful, and they were completely wrong. So when a new general manage takes over, you have to expect his philosophy to be as different as possible, or else why would you get a new general manager in the first place? David Price might struggle in the playoffs, but here’s the only stat I’m worried about at the moment:

Red Sox SP David Price
Win pct .481 .783
ERA 4.39 2.45<<
WHIP 1.33 1.08
K pct 19% 26%

Those are the numbers from last years Sox rotation compared with Price’s numbers last year. Is he worth $217 million? Nope. Is he going to make the Red Sox a better team this year? Absolutely. Get the duck boats ready.

Charge Before You Fly!

TSA’s newest security hurdle? Checking to make sure all of your electronic devices will power up and work as normal. That means no dead phones, tablets, laptops etc. Here’s my question, if a device is dead it is absolutely useless, would a bad guy terrorist need a working device to do anything? Maybe they should be checking for iPads that instead of running IOS7 there is just a big button in the middle of the screen that reads “BOOM”. Maybe that’s the better option.

PS – If portable charging cases and devices don’t push this new regulation hard in there new marketing then they need to hire new marketers.

As Expected, John Cena Won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at MITB Last Night

We were live in Boston last night for the MITB pay per view, which was awesome. The night ended with WWE’s golden boy, John Cena, climbing the ladder and grabbing the titles to become the new champion. It was predictable, but it also made sense, especially if Brock Lesnar’s return is as imminent as everyone thinks. Raw should be must see tonight!

Your Average ‘Money in the Bank’ Preview

image

Money in the Bank is live from Boston this Sunday, and the Average Nobodies will be there. Look for the 8 very inebriated guys wearing ref shirts and screaming obscenities while children look on in horror. Rusev/Big E and Summer Rae/Layla are rumored to be game day add on’s, but for the love of Bill Paxton, please no. Just send Lana out to warm up the crowd because we likey, but leave the other four in the back. Here are our predictions for the pay per view:

<Paige (C) vs. Naomi

image

For whatever reason (not enough TV time, not enough talent) the Diva’s division has been the weak link in the WWE for a long time. With the mini resurgence of the tag team division, and legitimate stars like Bad News Barrett and Sheamus holding the IC and US titles, the Diva’s division is low on the totem pole by a large margin. With AJ Lee seemingly not returning anytime soon, it’s up to this current crop of Divas to lead the charge. This should be a fun, quick match: Paige has been impressive when given enough time, and Naomi is the most athletic Diva when she’s not busy getting her eyeball kneed into her brain. WWE has been teasing a Funkadactyls breakup for a few weeks now, so we can see Cameron costing Naomi the match here and Paige retaining.

Goldust & Stardust vs. Rybaxel

Say what you will about Stardust, but he’s different. The most common complaint among WWE fans is that wrestling is too predictable and boring, and now that we have Stardust, he’s too over the top and weird. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS PEOPLE. Cody Rhodes is a great performer, whether he’s wearing a facemask or face paint, so as long as he’s in the ring I’m happy. Goldust is enjoying one of the best stretches of his career, and combined with Cody’s newfound persona, they have the potential to be a really fun tag team. On the flipside, Rybaxel have found their latest niche, and have some serious chemistry as a tag team. Goldust and a variety of partners have been fighting Rybaxel for what seems like years now, but I think the addition of Stardust can give this match the freshness it needs. Fingers crossed for Sin Cara-esque mood lighting, and we see Goldust and Stardust continue their momentum and grab a strong win.

The Uso’s (C) vs. Harper & Rowan

If this event didn’t showcase two ladder matches, I’d say the tag team title match between The Uso’s and Harper & Rowan would have a chance to steal the show. Either way, I expect this match to be exciting, mostly because it has the perfect dynamic: agile, popular faces versus tough, monster heels. Both of these teams look best when their opponents really sell their moves, and The Uso’s REALLY sell moves, while Harper & Rowan can really move and eat planchas and super kicks.  Look for Harper & Rowan to control most of the match with their overwhelming power, but hopefully The Uso’s will retain, continuing this feud until Summerslam when Harper & Rowan nab the gold. Also, very excited to experience Harper & Rowan’s new entrance live. If you haven’t seen it yet, watch the video above or check out our post on it.

MITB Ladder Match For the Briefcase: Seth Rollins v. Dean Ambrose v. RVD. v. Kofi Kingston v. Jack Swagger v. Dolph Ziggler v. Bad News Barrett (?)

image

The question mark is after Bad News Barrett’s name because apparently Jack Swagger hates when other wrestlers gain momentum. Swagger tossed Barrett into the barricade on Smackdown this week and separated his shoulder. With Barrett most likely out of the match, the favorites to win have to be Rollins and Ambrose. They have the only “feud within the match” storyline, and look for Ambrose to do everything in his power to make sure Seth Rollins doesn’t grab that briefcase. Which means Seth Rollins will grab that briefcase. While I’d love to see Ziggler win, Rollins winning makes the most sense. He just turned heel, and has aligned himself with The Authority. Getting the briefcase is the boost his new character could benefit from, and also adds another dimension to the Ambrose/Rollins that will probably continue on after the pay per view. Swagger, Kofi, RVD and Ziggler round out a stellar cast for this match, and it should feature spots galore. And if WWE needs a replacement for BNB, we’ve got you covered:

MITB Ladder Match For the Title: John Cena v. Randy Orton v. Sheamus v. Alberto Del Rio v. Cesaro v. Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns v. Kane

image

(Couldn’t find a picture with Kane in it which pretty much sums up his chances)

It’s fun to be optimistic sometimes, and predict that a real fan favorite (Reigns) or a bad guy who’s turning into a fan favorite (Wyatt) is going to win this match. But then you see this bright green shadow decked out in arm bands and jorts and you come back to reality. Nothing would be better than having one of the younger guys (Cesaro, Reigns, Wyatt) end the show standing atop the ladder with both titles, but it’s just not going to happen. In the long run, that’s a good thing. There is a certain streak conqueror we haven’t seen since WrestleMania who will absolutely be back in the next month or so (or sooner, see below) and that Beast will be coming for the WWE champion. Giving any of those guys their first major title only to have them get destroyed by Lesnar at Summerslam makes zero sense. While Cena winning may suck at first, it makes sense. Lesnar/Cena will draw in the fans and the viewers for the pay per view, and the rest of the participants in the MITB title match aren’t hurt by a loss because not only did they lose to Super Cena, but neither of them were pinned or submitted. So Cena will most likely end the pay per view atop the ladder, but don’t rule out Lesnar storming the ring post match and laying him out, sending the crowd into a frenzy and making this Monday’s Raw a must-see.

Luke Harper & Erick Rowan’s New Entrance Theme is Perfectly Creepy

One of the highlights of Raw last night was Harper and Rowan continuing to branch out on their own, this time coming to the ring with their own entrance theme. The song reminds me of a really creepy carnival tune, except instead of a couple of clowns coming out from behind the curtain, two monsters with beards appear ready to rip your face off. The Uso’s are awesome, but Bray and the Wyatt family are far and away the most interesting characters in the WWE right now, so I’ll be rooting for them to steal the tag team titles live in Boston this Sunday.

Dez Bryant Wants Top Wide Receiver Money and it’s Making me SICK

Dez_Bryant_at_training_camp copy

Dez Bryant wants money. You could have woken me up this morning and told me the sun rose in the east and that my grass is green and I would have been more surprised then hearing that Dez Bryant wants something. Sure, he has enjoyed a very impressive NFL career thus far: amassing 4,000 plus yards and 35 plus touchdowns. That’s all well and good but does the Cowboys front office really think he deserves top WR money? There is more to being a top guy than stats. Hey Dez, maybe show Jerry Jones you aren’t a whiney P.O.S and maybe he will sign you to an extension. MAYBE.

Until that day comes straighten up and be a leader for your team, Tony Romo can’t do it alone.

Girl Gets Tasered For Charity

Something tells me there are much better ways to raise money for charity. Bake sale, car wash, walk-a-thon you know, anything except for being tasered. Apparently she charged a group of guys $100 each to watch her get tasered in a bikini. And mom thought that business degree would never get any use.
