Music Monday – The Insane Clown Posse

Here is my favorite track from ICP’s newest album, “The Mighty Death Pop”

The 2014 Gathering of the Juggalos Infomercial is here!

These videos get better every year.

I am a big fan of ICP. Huge. Saying that, I’m not sure I would survive a Gathering.

Vanilla Ice Was Named “Outstanding Citizen of the Year”. In Other News I Need to Reevaluate my Life

VanillaIce-Jagermeister

Vanilla Ice is being named citizen of the year by the South Florida town where he lives, according to reports.

The 1990s one-hit-wonder, best known for his hit single “Ice Ice Baby,” will be named “Outstanding Citizen of the Year” by Wellington’s chamber of commerce during an event on Feb. 26.

Officials said they will honor the rapper, whose given name is Rob Van Winkle, for his “spirit of giving and dedication” to Wellington, the Associated Press reported.

Mr. Van Winkle has contributed to several local charities in Wellington and also films his DIY Network reality show “The Vanilla Ice Project” there. -Washington Times

I mean…good for V-Ice, but how bad is Wellington Florida doing? You already have a state FULL of crazies and you name Vanilla Ice “Most outstanding”? I got news for you Florida that’s like giving the title of warden to one of the crazies at the asylum. Again, good for Vanilla Ice. I have had nothing but love for the one-hit wonder since he joined forces with the Insane Clown Posse. Keep up what you are doing and never, ever, make a movie again.

ICP Giving Props to Tyler The Creator is the Least Surprising Thing Iv’e Heard, and I Love It

Tyler The Creator is pretty much everything ICP loves in new artists. Self-made, independent, and not giving a good fuck what other people, and labels, think of him. I’m obviously a huge fan of both (as you probably already know) and a collaboration would be AWESOME SAUCE.

PS- Say what you want about ICP but they call it how it is. No filter.

The Insane Clown Posse is Suing the FBI in the Name of Their Fans!

The 2003 BillBoard Music Awards - Arrival

Horrorcore-rap duo Insane Clown Posse, along with four fans, are suing the Department of Justice and the FBI, demanding that the agencies purge the fan name “Juggalos” from their list of gang members. “Organized crime is by no means part of the Juggalo culture,” reads the complaint, filed this morning in federal court in Detroit. -Rolling Stone

WHOOP WHOOP! Damn right! It’s about time my name gets cleared from the FBI’s most wanted list! Shaggy and Violent J have been dealing wit this issue for a while now. So long, in fact, I can remember when the “Fuck the FBI” chants started about 3 or 4 years ago at the shows i’ve attended. Not that the chant was, at all, helping our cause. But, in all seriousness this is a terrible classification of the Juggalos and Juggaletes. If anyone has ever been to an ICP show you will know that, while it can get pretty rowdy, there is no safer place. Family is a theme that courses through the veins of the Juggalos, and they show it.

So… Fuck the FBI!

Insane Clown Posse Theater

Ever wanted to watch ICP react, live, to popular music videos? I’ve found what you’re looking for! These guys are quite possibly the most ridiculous duo on the planet, and they have opinions to match. Violent J and Shaggy bring you ICP Theater!

New episodes are on Wednesdays 11/10c on FUSE.

PS- This has got to be the polar opposite of ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’, as far as internet shows go.

*****UPDATE******

PSS- Howard Stern, the king of all media, endorses the show!

GQ Magazine Can Go To Hell

Rating The Insane Clown Posse (ICP) as the worst rap group in history was the worst thin GQ Magazine could have done.  Do you have any idea the type of people you are dealing with?  I’m not talking about physical violence, but just the sheer number of loyal fans [Juggalo to the lay person] spells bad news for them.  Now i’m going to come right out and say it, I am a huge supporter of ICP, so this might be bias.  But, I will also disclose that I am a music lover in general.  I have everything on my ipod from The Phantom of the Opera Soundtrack (The original cast in London. Your a loon if you have any other version) to Pantera.  ICP just happens to be a group that I have loved since I was in middle school.  I will be the first to admit that their music is not everyone cup of proverbial tea, and I would never force it upon anyone. But calling them the worst rappers of ALL TIME? That is just crazy. I can guaran-damn-tee that who ever (I know his name, but I won’t give him fame he doesn’t deserve) came up with this list never went to and ICP show, listened to a full ICP album, or even had the decency to find out what they are about.  They just know the mantra behind them and stuck them with this unfitting label. 20 years of music and touring say otherwise to your stupid list.

-MattyV

PS – Ask Berno, someone who has never listened to ICP, if he enjoyed the concert we went to.  Go ahead GQ, ASK HIM!!!
