Things Got a Little Weird on Game of Thrones Last Night
So YouTube is being a little bitch today and won’t let you embed the horribly awkward opening scene from last night’s Game of Thrones, but you can click here to watch it.
I always kind of liked the Jaimie Lannister. Yes he had an evil baby with his sister but if you could get beyond that, he was kind of a badass. He has the best nickname in the seven kingdoms (Kingslayer!) and he managed to charm the pants off of Brienne which I thought was impossible. His only weakness (he only got one hand) will soon become his strength after his sword fighting duels with my favorite character and overall nice guy Bronn. But after watching that scene from last night I really can’t root for him. Forcibly having sex with your sister while your freshly dead son is laying right there tends to put a sour taste in normal peoples mouths. He’s beyond redemption in my book now. Long live the imp!

Game of Thrones Starts Sunday: Here’s Natalie Dormer’s (Margaery) GQ Pics
Woof. Interesting haircut but Natalie Dormer doesn’t care what people think. She married the worst human being in history. I hate King Joffrey but seeing these pictures kind of makes me want to be him just a little bit. I’d chop peoples heads off if she told me to. No questions asked.

Vince McMahon, Dinosaur Skull Connoisseur
There’s a famous scene in the HBO show The Wire where one of the older characters is teaching the youngn’s how to play chess.
The pawns, bishop, rooks, knights and even the queen have one goal: checkmate the king. Nine times out of ten most of these pieces get taken, but the King, he stay the King. That’s exactly what happened when Vince McMahon heard about Bill Murrays PBR pants.
This photo just so happened to get on Twitter the day Bill Murray took over the internet. Vince McMahon was recently interviewed by Forbes Magazine since he’s a billionaire once again, and he’s main quote was that he has a voracious appetite for life. Naturally he has a dinosaur skull in his office which just so happens to line up perfectly with his own skull when photographed from that angle. The King stay The King.

The Game of Thrones Season 4 Extended Sneak Peak Has Me Harder Than a Diamond in an Ice Storm
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5iS3tULXMQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Good lord this was awesome. Why don’t more shows do this? 15 minute sneak peak mixing scenes from the new season with interviews of cast members. Perfect. I thought I was ready for Season 4, but now I have no idea what to expect. All I know is Braun needs a heavy showing this season. Needs it like I need Busch Light on a Friday night.

Phew! ‘Newsroom’ Will Be Renewed For It’s Third and Final Season
Source – Almost four months after its season two finale, “Newsroom” has been renewed by HBO for a third and final season.
“’The Newsroom’ is classic Aaron Sorkin – smart, riveting and thought-provoking,” said HBO topper Michael Lombardo. “I’m sure this farewell season will be one to remember.”
HBO brass had been hopeful about the media drama’s return since last summer, though spent months in negotiations with series creator Aaron Sorkin discussing scheduling and his other showbiz commitments. Topliner Jeff Daniels — who won an Emmy in 2013 for his portrayal of Will McAvoy in “Newsroom” — tweeted prematurely in September that the show had been renewed, only to then have to backtrack once HBO established that an official season three order had not been made.
After that, the show had been seemingly hanging in the balance, with many outlets reminding their readers time to time that “Newsroom” had not yet been renewed.
With the season three order now official, Variety has also confirmed that Sorkin has turned in script for Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic, which Sorkin was tapped to pen in spring 2012.
I’m glad this “maybe they will, maybe they won’t” seesaw battle is finally over. Newsroom is one of my favorite shows on TV, and it would’ve been a shame to not give it a sendoff season because of Sorkin’s feature film goals for 2014. He’s created a lot of likeable, and more importantly, watchable characters in Newsroom. I’ve grown to embrace the reality based backdrop he’s created over the last two years, and as a former intern for a news network, it’s cool to relive the behind the scenes chaos that sometimes goes along with reporting the news. I’m excited to see what Will and the gang have in store for us, and it’s always good news when I get to see sweet Olivia Munn show up on my TV screen. Mr. Sorkin, the ball is in your court.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSg_gJkU7ko&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I have a fever, and the only prescription is for Game of Thrones season 4 to start right now. After the insanity of last season, I can’t wait to see what season 4 has in store for us. Need it, and I need it now.

Every week 2 or 3 episodes will be shown along with door prizes, appearances by author George R.R. Martin (he owns the theatre, by the way) and there will even be special Skype appearances from some of the cast members.
Sounds like a great way to brush up on ‘Thrones’ before it returns for its fourth season this Spring!
For more information head on over to the theatre’s website here, and look below for a schedule of the screenings:
Monday, January 6: Season One, Episodes 1-3
Monday, January 13: Season One, Episodes 4-5
Monday, January 20: Season One, Episodes 6-8
Monday, January 27: Season One, Episodes 9-10

Monday, March 10: Season Three, Episodes 4-5
Monday, March 17: Season Three, Episodes 6-8
Monday, March 24: Season Three, Episodes 9-10
I have this sudden urge to move to Santa Fe. I don’t know why, but I’m assuming it has something to do with the Jean Cocteau cinema being the greatest movie theater in the history of the world. Automatically goes down as one of the greatest marketing strategies in world history. I get to watch Game of Thrones with George R.R. Martin!? What a phenomenal idea. Their is literally nothing I’d rather do than binge watch a great TV show. If I had to choose between food and water or binge watching GOT I’d probably die of starvation and dehydration. I’d consider making the trip just to see Daenerys’s boobs on the big screen. Medieval smoke show.

Farewell Kenny Powers: Thanks for the Fuckin’ Memories
Eastbound and Down closed it’s door last night after four perfect seasons. There was never anyone quite like Kenny Powers on television before he stepped on the mound in 2009, and now that his journey is over, I doubt there will ever be another. Great story. Great characters. Great show. Thanks for the memories Kenny, and Stevie, and April, and every other oddball that made this show so great. End fuckin’ scene.
