#MusicMonday: Dionne Warwick – (There’s) Always Something There To Remind Me

We just finished reviewing Black Mirror series 4 on the Average Nobodies podcast. One of our favorite episodes was Black Museum, which featured a ton of great call backs. It also had great music, including this song which played throughout.

Few singers have better pipes than Dionne Warwick and they’re on full display here. It also fit perfectly into Black Museum, especially at the end of the episode. Have a great day on purpose everybody.

Hold Onto Your Dicks: Black Mirror Series 4 Is Now Streaming On Netflix

Black Mirror, the Channel 4 turned Netflix series, is now streaming it’s 4th series on Netflix. We posted the teaser trailer back in August, but the time has come for the latest 6 episodes. If you’ve never seen the show, it’s basically a psychological thrill ride that will really fuck with your head. You can also watch the official trailer below.

Black Mirror – Season 4

The beauty of the show is that it’s an anthology series. Even if you don’t want to go back and watch series’ 1-3, you’ll still be able to enjoy series 4. I watched the previous 12 episodes of series 1-3 over the past few weeks, and they’re fantastic. Be warned, they’re very dark. If you’re looking for a happy, light show to bring you into 2018, this is not that show. If you’re looking to mind fuck yourself, you’ve come to the right place.

While I’ve avoided spoilers, the initial reviews are that this season is the darkest yet. That’s saying something for a show that previously featured politicians fucking pigs on live TV & psychological torture amusement parks. Another interesting part of series four is that all six episodes will feature female leads. Mentally prepare yourself and then watch series four over the long weekend. We’ll be chatting about episodes 1 and 2 next week on the Average Nobodies podcast.

Trailer Alert – Black Mirror Series 4

This is not only a trailer, but an episode list as well. If you missed any, the episodes are: Crocodile, Arkangel, Hang The DJ, USS Callister, Metalhead and Black Museum. If we are to believe what this teaser/trailer says (and we should never believe anything a Black Mirror video shows or tells us) then there are six episodes in series 4. Which is right on par with series 3 (the first series produced by Netflix).

Looks like there are some familiar Black Mirror faces sprinkled in series 4, including Jesse Plemons, who I am particularly excited to see at the helm of a Star Trek like spaceship in USS Callister.

And the best part about Black Mirror series 4? It’s coming out, in it’s entirety (I heart your ways, Netflix), sometime in October. SO SOON.
