Fred Armisen’s SNL was great, and this sketch was hands down the highlight of the show. The quality of the pre taped sketches on SNL continue to get better, and this was no exception. I didn’t know what the punch line would be, but when it hit, it was amazing. I can’t remember the last time I heard the studio audience laugh THAT hard at a sketch, and it was well deserved. The only other sketch from this season that could possibly be my favorite sketch of the season would be Ryan Gosling’s ‘Santa Baby’, but even that might not be enough to dethrone ‘Farewell Mr. Bunting’. Perfect cap to a wonderful season.
