The first member of the 2016 class of the WWE hall of fame is long overdue. Sting, ‘The Icon’, is going to officially be a WWE Hall of Famer. With only a few WWE matches under his belt, Sting spent the majority of his career in WCW and TNA. He’s undoubtedly one of the greatest performers of all time, and the only shame was that it took Sting so long to get to the WWE. He’s from Texas, so it’s fitting that although he can’t perform, at least he’ll get the chance to shine in his home state during WrestleMania weekend. Congrats to Sting!

And let’s not forget his tenure as a world champ in Australia. This man is one of the greatest performers in history. But as great as Sting is, I admire the man behind String, Steve Borden, even more. HBK’s struggles in his 20’s are well known, but Sting was the WCW version of him for a number of years. It is a credit to Borden (and HBK for that matter) thsat he found the stregnth to rid himself of his demons and clean his life up.
