FLORIDA – A large alligator that some say looks a lot like a dinosaur was spotted last weekend on a Florida golf course.

A picture of the mammoth gator was taken at the Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood, Fla., near the Gulf Coast.

Some have questioned if the reptile is real, but the picture has been shared almost 4,000 times since it was posted Saturday night.

The golf club said the gator was spotted on the No. 7 green moving from one pond to another.

Leave it to Florida to create a mutant, horrifying alligator and have it just come on land and start walking around like it owns this golf course. This is absolutely terrifying. I knew alligators were no joke to begin with, but this takes it to a whole new level. In one sense it’s refreshing to read a story out of Florida that doesn’t involve someone insane, but in another sense this is scary as hell. Imagine if you were out playing a beautiful round of golf and saw this thing approaching you? I don’t think I’d ever be the same. At first I’d think it was one of those prank videos, like what they did in Japan with that guy operating a dinosaur, but then I’d get closer and realize it’s real and just shit my pants. Not the best defense mechanism but it’s all I got. I hope alligators can’t smell because that would absolutely be the end of my days.
