*UPDATE* – Some People Are NOT Happy At The Way Wolves Are Depicted In The Budweiser Super Bowl Ad (Seriously)

I’m sick of wolves being portrayed in the media as demonic monsters that only hurt other creatures. Yes, they do kill things, but that’s because they’re carnivores and eat meat out of necessity. On top of that, they’re scared shitless by humans. Do you know how many people were killed by wild wolves in North America last year? None. How many wolves were killed by people in the same year? Several hundred. Other than the fact that wolves are necessary for a healthy environment, DOGS like the puppy in this commercial are really just a domesticated form of wolf. So please, if you love dogs so much, have an open mind about some other animals.
The only thing I could think of while reading this  comment was this scene from Strange Wilderness:
There’s a lot to love here, and in the interest of fairness, he does bring up a semi good point. Dogs as pets is definitely a Western idea, as their eaten just like we eat cows or chickens in other parts of the world. That part of his comment is true. But the fact of the matter is that wolves are wild animals, and just because James Lee on YouTube tells me that they’re afraid of humans doesn’t mean I’m going to go run out into the wild and try to see if wolves are really misunderstood. Also, where is he getting his wolf facts? You know why zero humans have been killed by wolves in North America? Because those who were killed by wolves are now just a pile of bones. Wolves aren’t going to chew up an arm or a leg. They’re going to rip you apart until there’s nothing left. I get your point James, but I think you’re barking up the wrong tree.
