My Favorite Sketch From Last Week’s SNL – The Rare Perfect Monologue of Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart hosted SNL for the second time on Saturday night, and overall it was a very strong episode. Hart brings a lot to energy to everything he does, which makes an OK sketch good and a good sketch great. After a really funny cold open featuring Kenan as Martin Luther King Jr., Hart took the stage and delivered easily the best monologue of the season. Stand up comedians who host SNL should always do a stand up set as their monologue, as it’s worked for Louis CK, Chris Rock and now Hart. He rambles a bit, but his energy, facial expressions and body language are all great. I won’t spoil it for you, but if I were his son, I’d think twice about taking out the garbage ever again.
