Rhode Islander Mat Franco Won America’s Got Talent Last Night Thus Giving Magician’s Everywhere A Glimmer of Hope
AGT – Magician Mat Franco pulled a victory out of his hat Wednesday evening when he was announced as the winner of “America’s Got Talent, taking home the show’s impressive $1 million prize and a headlining gig at a casino in Las Vegas.
Franco, an illusionist from Rhode Island, could hardly contain his excitement when he met up with ET back stage after the show.
“It feels amazing! It feels great, fulfilling, emotional, all at once in a way that I can’t describe,” said the charming young prestidigitator.
First off who does CBS think they are? I’m glad you know how to use a thesaurus but I didn’t read your article to figure out how many different ways you can call someone a magician. Mat Franco isn’t a prestidigitator. He’s a magician. Just stick to magician. Not that that’s out of the way, whenever a Rhode Islander does something it’s pretty cool, since we’re usually the state everyone forgets about. There’s not too much cool stuff happening in Rhode Island, so when someone from Rhode Island wins a competition like America’s Got Talent it’s HUGE NEWS. When Olivia Culpo won Miss Universe and came back to RI you would’ve thought the Queen of England was coming to give us her royal jewels, and maybe rightfully so. Getting crowned the best woman in the universe is pretty spectacular. As is winning $1 million and getting a headlining gig at a Vegas casino. Is it any surprise that a magician from Rhode Island won America’s Got Talent on the same day the Average Nobodies put out a magician related monster blog? I don’t think so. I think the people in charge saw what other talent there was in the magician world and it scared the shit out of them. I’m not saying we helped Mat win last night, but I’m also not not saying that.
